Red Carpet Stars Share Personal Connections To Starkey

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- There was a taste of Hollywood in the Twin Cities on Sunday night with celebrities walking the red carpet before the Starkey Hearing Foundation's annual gala.

Jordin Sparks, Reba McIntyre, Garth Brooks and former president Bill Clinton were among the A-List attendees.

This year Starkey honored President Clinton and actress Marlee Matlin along with photojournalist Doug Pitt and Pentair CEO Randall Hogan for their support and charitable efforts throughout the past year.

In 2010, the Starkey gala raised $7 million to help give hearing aids to people in underdeveloped countries.

WCCO's Natalie Kane spoke to several of those celebrities on the red carpet and learned about the personal connection they have to the foundation. Check out the video above.
