MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Two memorable dogs WCCO-TV first introduced you to a couple weeks ago now have a home.

Remember Daisy and Duke? Daisy is 10 years old and blind, so Duke is her seeing-eye dog.

Daisy is also Duke’s mother and the two have never been apart.

They were staying with the rescue group Second Hand Hounds who was having a hard time finding a family to adopt them. They needed a yard with a fence to keep Daisy from wandering away.

After the WCCO-TV story aired, a couple from the south metro called and have since adopted the two dogs. They are apparently adjusting very well to their new digs.

So glad to read they found a home. I have thought about Daisy and Duke a lot since first reading their story. I would’ve loved to adopt them both but my home has too many stairs for a blind dog to get around easily. Thank you to the people who decided to give them their forever home!!
