DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — Authorities have arrested three men after they arrived at Duluth’s 148th Fighter Wing to work on a construction project.

The arrests happened Tuesday morning after security forces asked for the men’s identification.

Wing Executive Officer Major Audra Flanagan tells the Duluth News Tribune the driver and his two passengers were reluctant to give their IDs. The men ultimately presented identification, but the cards and the men’s behavior caused the guard to call 911.

Duluth police arrested a 37-year-old man from Dallas on a felony warrant from a Texas county.

The U.S. Border Patrol took the other two men, both from Honduras, into custody.

good job guards…should have said you seen a weapon and were forced to shoot

Wow that seems a bit suspcious. Sounds like the Guards may have saved the day.

Now does anyone not get it why ILLEGAL aliens are an issue?
    1) security
    2) jobs

    1. MARK says:

Only the rich and corporations who hire illegal aliens support and enable them being here. Average citizens like you and me know that they take jobs from people who are here legally, and are potentially security threats. When are the rich and the big businesses who provide incentives for illegals going to get the picture?

      1. sid says:

Yeah right, ever look at who is doing the roofing or siding after a storm. The waiters/waitress serving you, the cleaning lady, the guy cutting grass. Its everyday people that hire the most illegals, they seem to think thats ok when they want to save a buck..

    2. Mulder says:

Where has it been established that any of these people were illegal aliens?

Just because someone is from Honduras or another country does not mean they’re here illegally. You’re all too willing to leap to a conclusion of guilt without evidence, based on a prejudice toward darker-skinned people native to countries south of us.

You wouldn’t recognize a white illegal alien from Canada, would you?

      1. Don_J says:

Hey Mulder… Maybe they were talking about the guy from Texas being illegal… just saying.

        1. commonsense says:

If they were talking about the guy from Texas being illegal, wouldn’t he have been deported instead of issued a warrant?….just saying.

          1. MARK says:

The story says they were arrested (illegal) and from Honduras (alien). Are we all reading the same story?

            1. Mulder says:

Apparently you’re reading something into the story that isn’t there. Assuming that someone is an illegal alien because they’re from another country illustrates your prejudice. The U.S. has immigrants from many countries, including Canada, Mexico, Britain, Australia, Japan, etc; that doesn’t make them illegal aliens

Your family came from immigrants to this country, so maybe you’d like to experience the same prejudice you exhibit toward others.

  6. Mike Jacobson says:

Excellent work! I hope someone on the base buys this soldier a beer or ten. I want to know why or who is stupid enough to try and infiltrate one of our military bases. Well done soldier…thank you!!

    1. Don_J says:

Really Mike… “infiltrate?” I’m pretty sure there are better methods of “infiltration” that through the front gate of an ANG base in Duluth, Minnesota.

      1. fkafka says:

        Don the Moron,

It’s called dilligence – a duty the Guard performs every single day in Duluth and in the Middle-East – It’s what gives you the freedom to publish your nonsense.

  7. Jake says:

Boy, those ‘sanctury cities’ are really working out great, RIGHT?? Stop complaining about the ‘lack of jobs’ when you have three idiots like these three walking onto an Air Force Base, looking for work. In addition to these three, somebody else should be feeling some cold, steel, bars….mainly, those who told them to go there.
