Sidewalk Clean-Up Finished In Mpls After Tornado
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The tornado that ripped through the north side of Minneapolis on May 22 left behind devastation that for many will be hard to forget.
The city of Minneapolis announced Wednesday that crews have finished repairing about 1,600 sidewalk panels that were damaged when the tornado went through the area. City officials also said there was about 600 feet of damaged curbing that needed to be replaced.
The damage was caused by trees being uprooted along sidewalks and curbs, causing tree roots to push up the concrete.
