MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Not only is this a presidential election year but a year in which many members of congress will seek re-election. That includes the woman who has represented Minnesota’s 6th District since 2006.

Rep. Michele Bachmann joined Esme Murphy on WCCO Sunday Morning to talk about her re-election plans, being a proud Minnesotan and her objections to extending the payroll tax. She also said she will not endorse a GOP candidate for president before the Minnesota Caucus, stating she reserves the right to make an endorsement but won’t be doing so anytime soon.

“I think it’s really important that the people weigh in, and make their decision,” she said.

  2. Ralph m says:

why would you reelect her? She s from Iowa now

    1. 6th Dist. Resident says:

Hey Ralph, the voters of my district were STUPID enough to elect her twice. What makes you think they’ve learned anything this time around?

  3. mwallek says:

This so-called “representative” stated that she would not run for congress if her bid for ultimate power failed. Well, it did, and true to the lying thing she is, she will now run for continued attention and hopefully more future fame and, of course, those generous government benefits that she loves to hate.

    Michele Bachmann is an idiot……

  5. Murph says:

    More like “occcasionally since 2006”.

  6. Steve Wilson says:

Some of the largest stock trades made by the Romney trust involved companies that have operated in Iran. Romney has urged toughened sanctions and military steps against Iran and has called for strategic divestment of firms that do business there. In 2007, his trustee said he had sold off Romney investments in French and Italian energy companies with business ties to Iran.

But between mid-2009 and mid-2010, the Romney trusts made large investments in securities from BNP Paribas, a French bank with long-standing operations in Iran. The bank halted new business in Iran in 2007 but is still trying to terminate outstanding loans there. In all, Romney’s family trusts bought more than 2.6 million shares, which were all sold in late 2010 for about $2.5 million

[@Steve Wilson]You are on the wrong thread?]

Must be a slow news day to have Bachmann tell us she is a Minnesota representative in Congress and that she will hold off her endorsements until the caucuses. Her endorsements are a kiss of death for any GOP candidate who gets them. Oh well, can’t wait to see what Bachmann will say or do next.

  7. j speedbag 64 says:

a sore loser,90 grand in the hole….esme does do the garbage reporting for cco…..the gop aint gonna win squat….thanks to bachmann, t paw and the rest of the t baggers obama will win again again prabably not by a landslide like the last election….remember the the gop was taken to the corncrib…..

  8. Tom says:

It really doesn’t matter what Bachmann thinks or who she decides to endorse. And I really don’t think that any of the four candidates who are still in the race are waiting for the phone to ring from bachmann for her endorsement. The only people who think she is still relevent are Bachmann herself and her loyal followers.

  9. Ronald Paul says:

If I were running for POTUS, the last person I would want an endorsement from is that fruitcake.

  10. A Voter says:

Which GOPee Candidate will she plant her ‘Kiss of Death’ on?

  11. anti bachmann says:

this loser needs to get out of the news already and go into hiding forever.
the dumb bi**h will never amount to anything

    1. Francis Bacon Berger says:

I agree! All of the loser reporters at CCO should go!!!

  12. Debby says:

Suddenly this idiot is a Minnesotan??? She kept spouting off about being an Iowan during her “campaign”. While this idiot ever shut her mouth??!!

I sure hope her constituents do NOT vote her back in…she sure did nothing while campaigning for the higher office!!!

    1. jackactionhero says:

I guarantee her landslide victory in the 6th District. Their cognitive dissonance is astounding. They will overlook all of the things she’s said and done and welcome her back with open arms.

  13. Johnny says:

Well she definitely not getting my vote for sure.

  14. tan pup says:

MB go back HOME to Iowa! Oh, wait, this just in . . . Iowa didn’t/doesn’t want her back.

  16. angus says:

Must have been a heck of a party! And Michelle must have the photos, I can think of no other reason why she is constantly on the website and other reps are ignored.

  17. A Voter says:

She’s waiting to see how her constituents are voting, so she doesn’t make a mistake, and lose their trust.

    1. Swamp Rat says:

She doesn’t want to lose her MN Congressional seat/job. Who trusts her anyway? Isn’t she an Iowan? LMAO!!

  18. dan says:

We pray and we pray, PLEASE GOD MAKE HER GO AWAY!!!
