Fire Damages Plastics Company In NW Minnesota
GARFIELD, Minn. (WCCO) – Authorities say a plastics company in northwestern Minnesota suffered extensive damage after a fire early Wednesday morning.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a fire at RIP Plastics in Garfield, Minn at about 4:10 a.m. Wednesday. When authorities arrived, there was an active fire at the business. Several departments responded to the scene, and crews battled the blaze until the early afternoon.
Authorities said the business sustained extensive damage, but there were no reports of anyone injured or any deaths as a result of the fire. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office said the cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
The State Fire Marshal's Office is also investigating the fire.
