Pillsbury Bake-Off Still Going Strong
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- It's not your grandmother's Pillsbury Bake-Off anymore.
Entertainment diva Martha Stewart announced the winner of the 45th annual Bake-Off.
A Pennsylvania woman won $1 million for her dessert recipe.
It's been more than a decade since Minneapolis-based Pillsbury was acquired by crosstown rival General Mills.
But Twin Cities food critic Sue Zelickson, who attended the Bake-Off in Orlando, says the Pillsbury brand is alive and well.
"The Pillsbury Doughboy -- they put him to rest for a while. But he's here, big and strong, and even Martha (Stewart) took pictures with him. So he's alive and well -- and so is the company," she said.
