Warrant Issued For Suspect In S.D. Prostitution Case

RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) — A judge has issued a bench warrant for a South Dakota man accused of pimping after the man failed to show up in court.

Thirty-five-year-old Jeramy Caron, of Summerset, is charged with 12 counts of promoting prostitution and 12 counts of pimping in Pennington County.

He was to appear in court Monday.

Caron was arrested in Indiana last month on charges of promoting prostitution.

At the time, he was free on a $25,000 bond that permitted him to travel only to Minnesota, where he has family.

Caron is accused in South Dakota of bringing women from several states to work as prostitutes in Rapid City hotels. He has pleaded not guilty.
