Wolf Center Opens Contest To Name Pups

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The public has the chance to bestow names – White Fang, Fenrir, Akela, Jeff, perhaps – to wolf pups in Ely, Minn.

The International Wolf Center started a contest Friday that lets people submit names for two pups – one male, one female (the black pup on the left). The pups will be added to the Exhibit Pack.

The contest ends on May 11. Voting on the top four names will begin at midnight on May 18. The names will be announced on June 4.

To see the pubs, check out the center's webcam. To submit a name, go here.
