Police: Pope Co. Woman Missing, May Be In Danger

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police are asking the public's help in finding a 30-year-old Pope County woman after she was allegedly kidnapped by a man Thursday morning.

Police think the woman (EDITOR's NOTE: Name removed) was taken against her will by 39-year-old Dennis Aasen. She is believed to be in danger. Aasen might be armed, police said.

Police believe Aasen kidnapped her and stole her 1999 tan Chevy Suburban (Minnesota license plate: TVU184).

She is described as 5-feet, 5-inches tall, 130 pounds, blonde and blue-eyed. What she's wearing is not known, police said.

Aasen is described as having short, buzzed hair and a goatee.

It is unclear what the relationship is between the two.

She was first reported missing after she didn't show up to work at a flower shop. Police went to check on her at her home and found that she and her truck were missing.

If you have any information on this incident, call police at 320-634-5411.
