Boy Still Critical After Getting Hit By Motorcycle

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – A 4-year-old boy hit by a motorcycle in St. Paul Saturday remains in the hospital in critical condition, authorities say.

Tyrell Baymon was on his way to a birthday party when he was struck by a motorcycle who witnesses said was traveling up to 60 miles per hour. The motorcyclist then fled the scene, according to police.

Authorities said his skull is fractured, and his ribs are broken as a result of the accident. Doctors performed emergency surgery on him Saturday afternoon and he is recovering at Gillette Children's Hospital.

St. Paul Police have not located a suspect in connection with the incident, but say the motorcyclist is described as a man in his 20s with corn rows and a Jamaican accent.

The vehicle is described as a royal blue sport bike with front end damage. Anyone with information is asked to call St. Paul Police.
