MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Some of the best deals for happy hour eats are coming out of the one of the fastest growing foodie hangouts in Minneapolis: LynLake.

The best happy hour deals can be found at the Herkimer.

“Our happy hour runs seven days a week, from 3-6 daily,” said Eric Allen, the Herkimer’s general manager. “We have two for one on beer and well drinks.”

The restaurant is also a brew pub and makes its own beer.

But, the happy hour food menu is what really gets people’s mouths watering.

“They have great food, and it’s cheap,” said patron, Tamara Statz.

“We have select special appetizers ranging from $1 to $3,” Allen said.

Besides food and drinks, they also offer free board games and free songs on the jukebox from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The only problem for Viking fans might be the fact that it’s a Packer bar.

Around the corner, there’s a great option if you’re looking to take your sweetheart out for a full night.

It’s Bryant Lake Bowl, and on Monday nights you can get a steal.

“We start at 6 o’clock and it runs til close,” said Andrew Ernst, a chef at Bryant Lake Bowl. “You get two entrees, a bottle of wine or 4 pints of beer and two rounds of bowling for $28.”

One entree is vegetarian, the other includes meat, but both are made fresh with the help of local farmers.

“It’s just a good atmosphere, it’s relaxing, it’s a good date night, it’s romantic,” said patron William Schrader.

The Lyn-Lake neighborhood is also home to other popular hangouts like Moto-I, Fuji-ya and Muddy Waters. Check out their websites in the links below.
