Man Accused Of House Arson In Clarkfield

CLARKFIELD, Minn. (WCCO) -- A 35-year-old Clarkfield, Minn. man has been arrested in a suspicious house fire Monday night, according to the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff's Office.

On the day of the incident at 11:19 p.m., the Sheriff's Office received a report of a house fire on the 4400 block of 240th Ave.

After the fire was extinguished, the cause of the fire appeared to be suspicious, so the Minnesota State Fire Marshal was called to assist in the investigation. An initial investigation, with interviews, determined that the fire appeared to be deliberately set.
