Shoppers Line Up Overnight For New iPhone

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Twin Cities Apple stores are expecting to have a busy Friday.

That's because the iPhone 5 will go on sale at Apple outlets throughout the Twin Cities on Friday. There were dozens of people who formed a line outside the store in Uptown neighborhood of Minneapolis, hoping to get their hands on the new phone when the store opens Friday.

The new iPhone will be thinner, taller and faster than previous versions.

Some who already have the new phone have had some issues. The new maps app often shows shops and restaurants to be several streets away from their actual location. Some bus and rail stations are missing. Apple has replaced Google maps as the default mapping system on the new phone to create its own system.
