Wisconsin Beats Minn. Duluth For Sweep

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin clinched a berth in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association Final Five with a 4-1 win over Minnesota-Duluth on Saturday.

Tyler Barnes led the way for the Badgers (19-12-7) with a goal and an assist. Jefferson Dahl, Michael Mersch and Kevin Schulze scored in the first period for Wisconsin.

Justin Crandall had the only goal for the Bulldogs (15-18-5).

Joel Rumpel made 29 saves for the Badgers, who outshot the Bulldogs 35-30.

Aaron Crandall had made three saves in goal for UMD. He was replaced by Matt McNeely, who made 28 stops.
