Michael Johnson Celebrates New Made-In-Minn. Album

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Singer-songwriter Michael Johnson celebrates his first new studio album in 15 years with a Minnesota concert.

Johnson will play May 4 at Three Crows in Delano to mark the release of "Moonlit Deja Vu" on St. Paul-based Red House Records.

Johnson is best known for his 1978 hit "Bluer Than Blue" and his country songs "Give Me Wings and "The Moon Is Still Over Her Shoulder."

Johnson recently returned to Minnesota, where he lived from 1969 to 1985. His new album was recorded in Minneapolis and features Twin Cities players as well as a special appearance by his newly found daughter, Truly Carmichael.

Johnson never knew his daughter, but in 2009 he got an email from her and discovered she's a singer living in Minnesota.
