After Dayton Signed The Bill, The Party Started
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – On Tuesday, Minnesota became the twelfth state to legalize same-sex marriage.
Amid cheers, Democratic Gov. Mark Dayton signed the bill on the State Capitol lawn. He thanked lawmakers for their political courage as a large crowd chanted and waved flags.
The law doesn't take effect until August, but the party in St. Paul started almost immediately.
