Vikings Rookie WR Has A Lot Of Work To Do

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Cordarrelle Patterson has always looked up to Randy Moss, so he jumped at the chance to grab Moss's old No. 84 when he was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings.

Patterson will be the first to say he's got a long way to go before he's ready to make a Moss-level impact in Minnesota. He played only one full season of major college football at Tennessee. He slid down the board in Round 1 last month because most scouts viewed him as a raw prospect who needs considerable work before he is ready to play receiver in the NFL.

The Vikings think receivers coach George Stewart and veteran receiver Greg Jennings will play big roles in getting Patterson up to speed.
