Woman, 86, Killed In Crash With Semi In Becker Co.

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (WCCO) -- Authorities say an 86-year-old woman was killed in a crash involving a semi-truck in Becker County.

The crash happened along Highway 10 on Thursday afternoon at about 2 p.m.

The State Patrol said a vehicle being driven by 86-year-old Duane Hanson of Detroit Lakes turned in front of a semi that was traveling westbound.

Hanson's Buick LeSabre was hit broadside. His passenger Arleen Hanson was killed in the crash. Duane Hanson received non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the semi was not injured.

The Becker County Sheriff's Office is assisting in the investigation surrounding the incident.
