Need A New Bowling Ball? Hit The West Side Lanes Sale

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A very unusual sale is going on this week that will be especially interesting to bowling fans.

The property where West Side Lanes stood was sold to the city of West St. Paul.

So, the bowling alley has to shut down and the owners are selling all they can.

You can buy everything from bar and kitchen equipment to vending machines. And of course bowling balls, pins, and shoes.

As for the bowling lanes themselves, Juette Holseth, the owner of West Side Lanes, said the panels will go into storage.

"We will sell those if somebody wants to buy them," she said. "There is wood lanes under the panels, we don't know if we can get that out yet. We have to get the synthetic panels off first."

The owners say it's been hard to say goodbye to the customers they've had over the years.

Everything has to be out by Saturday.
