Powerball Jackpot Grows To $400 Million
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Powerball jackpot is growing, meaning somebody soon is going to be a lot richer.
No one hit the jackpot in Saturday night's drawing of more than $200 million, so the money will roll over to Wednesday's drawing, making it the fourth largest in history. Saturday's winning numbers were 21, 24, 36, 42 and 45, and the Powerball was 15.
As of now, Wednesday's drawing will be worth $400 million, or $230 million if you take the cash option. The odds of matching all six numbers are one in 175 million. Jackpots have been growing faster and to much higher levels since the Minnesota State Lottery pushed tickets for the Powerball to $2 each.
