Bus Safety Poster Winners Recognized At Twins Game

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Twelve elementary school students who won this year's Minnesota School Bus Safety Poster contest will be recognized before the Twins game at Target Field.

The students, ranging from first through sixth grades, will arrive at Target Field on Thursday by school bus. They'll be carrying their posters on the field before the Twins host the Athletics, and they'll be announced by the Minnesota State Patrol and the Minnesota school bus associations.

The State Patrol is reminding motorists to be alert for school buses and pedestrian and bicycle traffic. Under Minnesota law, motorists must stop for school buses with red flashing lights or stop arms extended.
