Minn. Man Indicted In Fatal Shooting Outside Bar
HASTINGS, Minn. (AP) — A Rosemount man faces a first-degree murder charge in a fatal shooting outside a bar last month.
Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom says a grand jury Thursday indicted 31-year-old Anthony Lee Nelson on first- and second-degree murder charges.
Nelson previously was charged with second-degree murder in the death of 23-year-old Palagor Jobi during a fight in the parking lot of a Burnsville bar on Sept. 22.
That was the last time 20-year-old University of Minnesota student Anarae Schunk was seen. Schunk went to the bar with Nelson, her ex-boyfriend, and Nelson's current girlfriend. Schunk's body was found 10 days later in a ditch in rural Rice County.
Backstrom says the investigation into Schunk's death continues.
Nelson is expected to appear in court on the indictment Friday. He remains in jail.
