3 Escape House Fire In Golden Valley

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A family was forced out of their home Thursday morning after their home's roof caught on fire.

The Golden Valley Fire Department responded to the structure fire around 1:51 a.m. Thursday at a home on the 1500 block of Rhode Island Avenue North.

There was visible fire through the roof upon arrival.

Authorities say multiple hose lines were used to extinguish the fire.

Three occupants in the home were able to escape safely.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
