First, March is Nation Frozen Food Month. That's why you may find some deals in the frozen food aisle at the grocery store. Obviously, if you store it correctly, the frozen food lasts a long time so you can stock up.

Several discount hunting sites say you can get a good deal golf clubs this month. That's because new models come out in March, making last year's models cheap. Shoppers can find deals from 15 to 40 percent off. It may even be a good time to buy ahead for Father's Day in June.

Are you gearing up for a Spring Break trip or just escaping the leftover cold of a Minnesota winter? March is the time to pick up new luggage, because it falls between vacation seasons. Look for prices 10 to 20 percent less than you'd find in the winter or summer.

Consumer Reports says March is also a great time to buy electronics. Things like digital cameras, MP3 players, DVD and Blu-ray players and even television sets.

One useful perk for Minnesotans in particular is that March is a good time to buy winter sports gear. After all, in this state, that gear can come in handy until May.
