Police: St. Cloud Man Suspected In 2 Robberies Arrested
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said a man suspected of at least two robberies in the St. Cloud area was arrested Wednesday afternoon.
Waite Park Police and local FBI agents executed a search warrant at about 2:30 p.m. at a residence on the 1400 block of Westwind Road in St. Cloud. Officers found 48-year-old Michael Allen Simpson of St. Cloud inside the residence and took him into custody without incident.
He was booked into the Stearns County Jail on two counts of aggravated robbery. Simpson is suspected of a robbery on July 8, 2012, at the MidCountry Bank inside the Cashwise store in Waite Park. He's also suspected of robbing the Super America gas station on 3rd Street North in Waite Park on March 29.
Police said there were no injuries in Simpson's arrest.
