MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Legendary soul singer Aretha Franklin is coming to the Minnesota State Fair.

As part of the 2014 Grandstand Concert Series, Miss Franklin will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22. Tickets are $45.

Tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 31. An opening act for Aretha’s show has not been announced.

In addition to bringing some R-E-S-P-E-C-T to the Grandstand, Minnesota Music-On-A-Stick has also been added to the line-up.

Confirmed performers for the 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30 show include Brother Ali, Doomtree, Bob Mould, Cloud Cult, Har Mar Superstar and The Cactus Blossoms. Tickets are $30 for general admission and reserved seating and go on sale at noon on Saturday.
