Cops: Woman Injured After Falling Into Mine Pit
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 29-year-old woman was hospitalized Monday in northern Minnesota after falling into a mine pit, officials say.
Police in Chisholm, Minn., say officers responded to a report of a woman falling into a mine pit that afternoon.
Police, along with deputies from the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office and area fire crews, were able to retrieve the woman.
She was brought to St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth. Her condition is not yet known.
Chisholm is about 200 miles north of Minneapolis.
