Authorities: Boy Shot, Injured In St. Cloud

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A juvenile male is in the hospital after being shot twice in St. Cloud Tuesday night, according to the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force.

At around 7:36 p.m., St. Cloud Police responded to a shooting in the area of 22nd Avenue and Division Street. Upon arrival, police found the victim, who had been shot twice. Officers then determined that the actual shooting occurred on the 200 block of 33rd Avenue South.

The victim was then taken to St. Cloud Hospital where he needed surgery for his injuries. He is currently in stable condition.

Now, the task force is asking for the public's assistance in locating a vehicle seen in the area of the shooting. It's described as an extended or quad cab pick-up truck tan or gray in color with dual rear wheels. The truck also had wood-type rails on the back bed area of the pick-up.

Anyone with information on the vehicle or shooting incident is asked to call St. Cloud Police at 320-251-1200 and leave your name and number, and an investigator will call back.

The shooting isn't being considered a random act and, at this time, there is no threat to public safety, authorities said.

The identity and age of the victim isn't known at this time.
