MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — An 86-year-old Brainerd man died when a tractor pinned him late Tuesday afternoon, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

At 5:56 p.m., authorities responded to the report of a man pinned by a tractor in a shed at a residence in Sylvan Township. When emergency responders arrived, they found the elderly man dead.

Authorities say the accident was caused by the tractor rolling in reverse and pinning the man against a 5th wheel trailer hitch.

An autopsy will be conducted by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner.
