Local Music Tap: Minne Fest Returns For 2nd Year

Minne Fest is returning for its second year this weekend in Minneapolis. Now, it features two days of music and a new location.

The event – hosted by MJG Productions -- is meant to promote local music, art, businesses and projects all while raising money for Cancer Kids Fund at Children's Hospital and Clinics of Minnesota.

On Saturday at The Nomad World Pub, music will start at 2 p.m. and will run until 2 a.m. (music moves inside at 10 p.m.). Sunday music starts at noon and runs until 8 p.m.

Besides music, there'll be a Minne Art Crawl with local artists displaying their art, a Bocce Ball court along with other games, local food trucks and a silent auction.

The silent auction will be held throughout Saturday and items include donated art, tickets to upcoming concerts/festivals and other donated packages from supporting businesses. Participants must be present to win.

On Sunday, there'll be a bloody mary bar, a celebrity dunk tank, food and more music.
