MINNEAPOLIs (WCCO) – Officers in Stearns County are searching for a male who allegedly robbed a woman’s home Monday afternoon.

According to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, the homeowner returned around 12:32 p.m. Monday and saw an adult male in her home.

Police said she heard him yell, possibly to another party, and saw him then run off.

The homeowner called 911.

Upon their arrival, police searched the premises but could not find the suspect.

However, during the search it was determined that items were missing from the home.

Stearns County deputies then conducted a ground search with assistance from officers from Avon and St. Joseph police departments, and Minnesota State Troopers.

The state patrol also assisted by helicopter and plane.

Police continue to investigate this incident and are asking for anyone with information to come forward.
