Mankato Man's Bail Set At $1 Million For Synthetic Drug Deaths

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Mankato man accused of providing synthetic drugs that killed two people is being held on a $1 million bail.

Tyler Caputo, 21, was arrested in suburban Chicago last week after leaving Minnesota without the court's permission.

Caputo faces third-degree murder charges in the deaths of 17-year-old Chloe Moses and 22-year-old Louis Folson.

They overdosed on a synthetic drug in separate incidents in Mankato last March.

Caputo claims the drugs changed hands several times before the victims got it.

His attorney says the case does not amount to the level of murder.
