Best Of Minnesota: Looking Back At The Best Of Matt Brickman

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) –Over the last three years, Matt Brickman has taken WCCO viewers to see the Best of Minnesota: A lot of great food, interesting places, but most of all, interesting people.

Matt is now doing the weather for our morning show, so Natalie Nyhus starts scouring the state next week.

But first, a look back.

Matt's quest to find the best had him jumping in pools, eating red hot wings and even getting a massage.

It's a tall order to give our state the justice it deserves, but he did.

Here's a look back at some of Matt Brickman's Best of the Best of Minnesota.

He's traveled to the four corners of the state and a lot of places in between.

There's been no shortage of interesting characters, and he learned firsthand what it means to be a Minnesotan.

"Are we sure the fish even like the cold?" he once asked.

From tattoos to snowstorms to giant lobsters, Matt had to go through the worst.

But somehow through all the hardship and all the adversity, he never fell short of bringing you the best.

Natalie plans on carrying on the tradition, starting with finding the best high school drum line in Minnesota.
