MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — “A Prairie Home Companion” has been forced to cancel one of its shows at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul after host and creator Garrison Keillor announced he will be undergoing surgery.

Keillor, 72, leaves little the imagination when it comes to his description to why he’s getting a medical procedure done.

“If you’ve noticed my upstairs bathroom light go on at 10 p.m., 10:10, 10:25, 10:40, etc., you know all you need to know,” Keillor said.

Only the Sept. 27 show will be cancelled. Those with tickets will get a refund.
