The 44-year-old is charged with the murder of his former boyfriend and business partner, Boston-Scientific-executive Kelly Phillips.

Hoffman’s also suspected of robbing a TCF Bank in Blaine last Sunday. The money Hoffman allegedly stole included a security dye pack.

The sheriff’s office wants citizens to report any money they’ve recently received that’s colored with bright-red dye.
