MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Sunday, Minnesotans celebrated the season as summer turned the corner into fall.

A light breeze and plenty of sunshine made the St. Paul Classic that much more enjoyable for thousands of riders.

Music provided a toe-tapping soundtrack to the 30 mile tour around the capitol city.

Fresh produce from the Farmer's Market hints there's a change in the air.

For now, only fruit and vegetables are vibrant shades of red, orange and yellow, but soon the leaves will follow.

"It was beautiful, I loved the warm weather. I'm from the south. too short. it seems to be wrapping up right now," Monica Colbin, of Minneapolis, said.

With the Dog Days of summer behind us the breeze is ideal for running around with your friends, especially if they have four legs.

"We're at the dog park this morning, that's the first thing we're going to do. 4:02 then i think we'll go paddle boarding," Colbin said.

Time by the water, whether it's a jog or yoga, is time well spent.

And these perfect Minnesota days are never taken for granted.

"I think it's a top 10 weather day," Colbin said. "It's been beautiful. It's why I love Minnesota, for the summers."
