MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — WCCO This Morning’s Jamie Yuccas and Kim Johnson are both graduates of the University of Minnesota, but only one of them had been to a Gophers game.

Kim spent her whole college career away from the big game, so Jamie took it upon herself to show her what she was missing.

Jamie said that any Gophers game actually starts out at Stub & Herb’s, but from there it was straight to the tailgating parties.

A group of tailgaters taught Kim how to sing the Minnesota rouser, so she’d be ready to cheer the team on inside the stadium.

Did we say inside the stadium? They actually ended up directly on the sidelines as the marching band got thousands singing: “Minnesota, hats off to thee. To thy colors true we shall ever be.”
