Minnesota Wild Fans Ready For Thursday's Season Opener
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Wild season opener for the regular season is Thursday night against the Colorado Avalanche, but the festivities began early in the morning.
"We have our wake-up rally starting at 6 a.m. and it goes until 9 a.m. this morning," said Wayne Peterson, the Wild's marketing director. "Fans can come down either in cars or on foot and can get a free paper, a free coffee, a diet coke, a rally towel, a pocket schedule."
The excitement is building to the game, which is sold out, but the next game is Saturday in Denver, so there will be a a free watch party at the X for fans.
The Wild will be playing the Avalanche at 8 p.m. Thursday.
