Minn. AG Alleges Wadena Process Server Filed False Claims

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota attorney general has filed a lawsuit against a Wadena process service company and one of its former employees saying they falsely claimed some individuals were served with debt collection lawsuits.

The owner of TJ Process Service, Joe Jasicki, says the employee accused of falsely claiming he had served the lawsuits was terminated in 2012 after suspicions were raised about his truthfulness. Jasicki said Thursday he hopes the former employee "goes to jail."

Attorney General Lori Swanson claims the company and the employee provided creditors and debt buyers with affidavits falsely saying a lawsuit had been served on the defendant involved. The lawsuit filed in Koochiching County District Court says in one case, the employee claimed a lawsuit was served on a person at their home address, when in fact the person didn't live at that address.
