Police Chase Ends With SUV Crashing Into Brooklyn Park Home
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities say a suspect is in custody after a police chase involving a stolen vehicle ended with the SUV crashing into a home in Brooklyn Park.
Police say the incident started at about 12:20 a.m. Tuesday. Osseo Police were tracking an SUV believed to be stolen when a chase ensued. The pursuit lasted less than two miles down 85th Avenue North before the vehicle lost control near Douglas Drive in Brooklyn Park.
Authorities say the SUV went up a curb, hit a utility box with its cable wires exposed and ended up crashing into the backside of a house on Brunswick Court. The driver of the SUV fled the scene, but was captured a short time later.
There were people inside the home when the vehicle crashed, but nobody was hurt. The incident is under investigation.
