Senator: Let Local Governments Decide Sunday Liquor Sales
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A state senator says he may have the solution to the long-running battle over allowing liquor sales on Sunday.
Roger Reinert (D - District 7) believes it can all be solved by giving local governments the choice, according to MinnPost.
The DFLer says this way it'll be left to city officials to decide whether selling alcohol on Sunday is right for their community.
Previous attempts to overturn the Sunday ban statewide have failed numerous times.
Reinert says he'll be working with Republicans on the legislation when the Legislature reconvenes in January.
