Man, 19, Shot By Cop During Rock County Car Chase

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - A 19-year-old Luverne, Minnesota, man was shot by a police officer during a high-speed car chase Thursday evening in Rock County.

Ryan Joseph Krueger was treated for his injuries at the Sanford Emergency Department.

He was later released and is being held in Nobles County Jail facing charges of first-degree felony assault and fleeing a police officer.

The Rock County Sheriff's Office assisted the Adrian Police Department in the chase.

The deputy who shot Krueger has been placed on administrative leave as the incident is investigated, which is standard procedure in police shootings.

An independent attorney will review the results of the investigation when it's completed.
