Payroll Problems Irk Employees Of St. Paul Public Schools

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Friday was supposed to be payday for thousands of Minnesota teachers and school employees.

But St. Paul Public Schools says there was a miscommunication with U.S. Bank.

More than 7,000 paychecks weren't deposited into bank accounts Friday morning.

The district has apologized, and says it fixed the problem for about 95 percent of workers by the afternoon.

It's now asking employees to keep track of overdraft or wire transfer fees so they can be reimbursed.
