Vikings Promote Kevin Warren To Chief Operating Officer

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings have promoted Kevin Warren to chief operating officer.

The Vikings announced the news Thursday. Warren will continue to report to team president Mark Wilf. His previous title was chief administrative officer and executive vice president of legal affairs.

Warren, one of the highest-ranking black officials in the league, will be responsible for oversight of all aspects of the club's business operations and creation of strategic efforts for all departments.

Warren became a member of the NFL's committee on workplace diversity in 2013.

Warren joined the Vikings in 2005 when the Wilf family, led by Mark's brother Zygi, took ownership. He previously held vice president posts for the Detroit Lions and St. Louis Rams.
