Police: Grand Rapids Man Stabs Family Member Several Times

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 31-year-old Grand Rapids man is in custody after he allegedly stabbed a family member several times early Wednesday morning.

Grand Rapids Police were called to a home in the northwest area of the city at about 1:47 a.m. on a report that a family argument turned into a knife attack.

The suspect was taken to Itasca County Jail where he awaits formal charges.

The victim, whose relationship to the suspect has not been released, was eventually taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth for treatment of multiple stab wounds.
