Patrol: Driver Dies After Crashing Into Bridge Pillar

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials in southern Minnesota say a 28-year-old driver from Albert Lea died Sunday morning after crashing into a bridge pillar.

The State Patrol says the crash happened shortly before 9 a.m. near the intersection of Interstate 90 and County Road 5 in Faribault County.

A Pontiac Aztek was traveling west on Interstate 90 when it went off road, entered the median and struck a bridge pillar.

The driver, identified as Tyler Turner, was killed.
