MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A busy Twin Cities highway is closing this weekend for road work.

Highway 100 in St. Louis Park is shutting down between Interstate 394 and Highway 62 at 9:00 p.m. tonight.

Crews are working to widen the highway to put three lanes in each direction. The Minnesota Department of Transportation says families living near the project will hear noise and vibration during the overnight hours.

The highway should reopen in time for Monday morning’s rush hour, however the complete reconstruction project won’t be done until late next year.
