Construction Set To Snarl Snelling Avenue Bridge At I-94

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A major construction project begins Sunday along I-94 in St. Paul -- the Snelling Avenue bridge will shut down and remain closed through mid-August.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is closing a mile and a half stretch of Snelling Avenue -- from Selby Avenue to Pierce Butler Route -- to repave the road and make other improvements

Drivers coming from Minneapolis will have to use the Cretin Avenue/Vandalia Street exit or the Lexington Avenue exit instead. The westbound ramps to Snelling will remain open.
