Minneapolis Man, Colorado Woman Win 11th Fargo Marathon

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — The men's and women's winners of the 11th annual Fargo Marathon have crossed the finish line.

David Tuwei led the men's group with an unofficial time of 2 hours, 27 minutes, 15 seconds. Elli Peterson was the women's champion with an unofficial time of 2 hours, 49 minutes, 13 seconds.

Tuwei is from Minneapolis and Peterson is from Windsor, Colorado.

More than 20,000 runners are participating in five races over three days in Fargo, including the full marathon.

For the first time, the 26.2-mile race started inside the Fargodome.

The marathon began with about 2,300 runners in its inaugural race in 2005.
